American recording artist B3NZO is the epitome of the Black man’s experience. Talented, loyal, family-oriented, resourceful, doesn't take 50 Cent for granted and is made of steel! Born in Dallas on May 30th, B3NZO was met with the essence of Black adversity at birth. His father was incarcerated by his first birthday leaving his mother to raise a son on her own. The frustrations from lack of support and resources built up, which ultimately led to B3NZO relocating north to Cincinnati where he’d lay down the foundation of his destiny. Raised under the toolage of his grandmother, B3NZO was raised to respect others while giving it in return. There was no longer room for Christmas, birthdays or any holiday for that matter under the strict rules of their Jehovah’s Witness household. He was taught that mindset is key and to always reciprocate the energy that’s given to you. And with the unilateral development of unfiltered transparency that was built throughout the family unit, these very tools are the keys to what makes the multitalented B3NZO so passionate about always being a stand up guy. And just like all children born ahead of their time, possessing mental gems stronger than any book can teach, he quickly learned he didn’t need materialistic items to make him who he is or was to become - but also, that it came with never being able to fit in the society’s norms. So he inadvertently became a problem child. With misguided passion, a slow-gained jealousy for other people’s valuables, even though he knew those items held little weight to his soul, a strong mindset and short stint in jail, B3NZO was on course to emanate destruction. And just like all talents, the one thing more powerful than their love to live without boundaries, is their love for music. From 50 Cent to Lil’ Wayne, B3NZO was enthralled with the culture of hip hop, rap and Black men making change while just being themselves. Rhyming the hurt away became a favorite pastime while living at the Bottom of Northside, the neighborhood the in-your-face rapper grew to love. And that became B3NZO’s power: sharing authentic stories about being a problem child, living in poverty, managing anger issues to making it big based on gettin’ it the hard way. The right way. When B3NZO decided to take rhyming seriously, he locked in and never looked back. B3NZO is resilient. Soon after, he was back to making life worth living with his own path in mind. Music, entrepreneurship, his children and making his dreams a reality became his primary focus. With a few tracks under his belt and a new lifestyle of personal wealth, B3NZO is preparing to conquer music and outdo the only person he competes with: himself
